FLCL STORYLINE

Alrighty, I'm going to try my very best not to butcher this completely like wild squirrels but then at the same time not ruin it for people that haven't seen this amazing series yet. If you really, really want to know what's happening, then I highly encourage you to watch it more than once. Just trust me on this part. You won't regret it.

I remember when I first watched FLCL and I honestly didn't get a single thing. But I stuck with it and eventually bought it and watched it a few more times. I eventually came to the conclusion that I was in love with it (hence I made this fansite). Fooly Cooly does a weird thing in which it just kind of jumps right into the action. Although it does explain most of the plot in the series, sometimes your mind is just oblivious to it the first few times that you watch it.

But to those that may be intrigued and curious about this series, or those who have heard great things (or crappy reviews) about this series, this is the basic storyline of what's happening in the beginning to help you guys along:

This series starts off with a twelve year old boy named Naota Nandaba who lives in the very quiet, boring town of Mabase. He lives with his father Kamon Nandaba and his grandpa Shigekuni Nandaba whom are both very, very horny men (you'll see in the series). Off in the outskirts of the town lies a new factory called Medical Mechanica (very witty name mind you) which is the basis of the "problems" that occurs in the rest of the series.

So, Naota's brother went away to America to play baseball and his (former) girlfriend Mamimi Samejima is left behind. She now loathes on Naota for her sexual frustations, emotional breakdowns, and her plain curiousity and fun. Anyway, the real fun begins when Haruko Haruhara comes speeding down on a yellow Vespa and whacks Naota with a left-handed Rickenbacker guitar. Seems like a hit and run, right? Yep! And so much more. Robots still coming out of his face, literally.

Haruko's first appearance: Vespa woman wielding a
guitar

That's not all, Haruko Haruhara ends up being his live-in-maid so she can monitor the events that occur in his head. The reason for all this robot warping and face smacking (kisses and beatings) is because she is at "war" with Medical Mechanica. Additionally, two intergalatic agents named Commander Amarao and Lt. Kitsurubami are monitoring Haruko Haruhara (she's really an alien) and Medical Mechanica for legal reasons.

I hope that brief synopsis didn't rock your face off. You'll really like it.

Now, after you watch it a couple of times and still don't get it and need a little guidance, you can read the episode guides that I made to help you along.
