This is probably my worst episode because I don't really understand what exactly is going on. This episode is really weird. I wrote this guide while watching the series again, and I just noticed how it jumps around so much. Some parts of this guide are exactly as I saw it on the screen, other parts, I condensed it in whatever order I see that's logical.
This episode deals pretty indepth of what exactly is going on in the series. Talks mostly about Haruko, Naota, and Amarao's mindset. Anyway, here it goes!
It starts off with a baseball game in the town of Mabase. Haruko is on the team
against the Mabase Martians, which is the team that Naota plays for. Haruko plays
baseball just for some extra bit of cash ("so... do you have any other hidden talents?" says the
homosexual man paying Haruko for her service; it's funny).
Naota's team sucks major ass and Haruko is laying down the law (note: Haruko
is dominating, not necessarily the team she plays for). Haruko
is hitting all homeruns and striking everyone out. She's a one man team. She's a beast.
Naota's grandpa who coaches the Mabase Martians starts to realize that ever since the Medical Mechanica factory was built and since Tasuku (Naota's brother) left for America, the team really started to fall apart. Naota isn't much help to the team because he never swings the bat. I think he has too much pressure on him because his brother was so good. Everyone else concurs until they were given a jolt of enlightenment again.
In the outer part of the field, Kanti is seen picking up all the old balls and throwing them
easily back into its bin. The entire team is stunned and thrilled. Naota's grandpa hits
a few balls and Kanti catches every single one. He joins the team.
Naota walks off home and sees Haruko. Haruko tells him to swing the bat or else he wouldn't ever get any points or know how much potential he has. She walks off, and Naota continues walking home.
He gets home and sees Haruko and Robot-Kamon (this isn't the real human Kamon, you can tell
by the cord) getting it on. Well, I believe Haruko built a Robot version of
Kamon to make Naota a bit jealous.
If you recall, Haruko said that she saw Naota
first and would always be with him. This of course upsets Naota and makes me feel
"wanted," so that next time Haruko needs Naota's head, he'll give in more willingly
as to not lose their friendship and "admiration" for each other. Of course
Haruko most probably also made the Robot-Kamon as a dummy because she severely
hurt the real Kamon. I'm not exactly sure.
Anyway, so Naota comes home and see Haruko and Robot-Kamon engaging in some... strange
fetish activities. This part makes me giggle like a little girl. Haruko
is screaming in esctacy while Robot-Kamon rubs his beard all over her
body. Everywhere on her body.
I don't know if this next part is
gross or not, but they start eating eggs off of each other... orgasmically. I
personally like eggs, so I mean, I wouldn't mind eating
eggs like that off of someone. Just kidding, that's sick.
This gets Naota terribly jealous and upset, not that I think he wants to join in and
engage in a threesome or something, but rather he wants some attention and maybe
some kiss kiss action.
He walks outside still pissed about the situation and hits the side of a
vending machine with his bat. Then Amarao shows up on his Vespa and they go inside
the bakery. He buys a couple of things and start talking about Haruko and saying that
she's a horrible, dangerous person. And that Naota shouldn't date older woman. But all
Naota can think and ponder about are those eyebrows! (Amarao wears these huge
fake eyebrows, supposively they stop people from channeling his N.O. powers.)
Flashes over to the bridge where Mamimi and Naota are just sitting together. Mamimi notices that Naota is upset and instead of asking him why or trying to help him out, she just kind of grabs him and starts to makeout with him. ("I'm going to leave my mark on you!")
Now it goes to Haruko and Naota together his backyard. Haruko offers to coach Naota, but Naota refuses. He then retorts on why doesn't she just go back and fools with his dad. She avoids the question... Haruko then gives Naota tips on how to swing the bat. She tells him to hit the brightest star.
During this batting lesson thing, it does a bunch of weird things. You see heads in different places. I don't understand it very well.
Meanwhile, in space, Amarao is in his Central Command Center which is also the Immigration Department CP that I guess regulates the aliens from going in and out. Well, apparently, this command center lost control of one of its satelite. This satelite actually carries a bomb on it and is headed straight towards Mabase. Guess who knocked it down? It's Haruko! Remember in the beginning how she was hitting all those homeruns? Well, apparently those baseballs escaped Earth's gravity and actually hit something. Anyway, Kitsurubami, Amarao's trusty assistant, details all of the satelite's damages while Amarao inspects the piece of bakery he bought at Naota's place as if it's a surgical operation. (He has his doubts about the Nandaba's if they're up to something with Haruko.)
It's about bedtime and Naota wakes up and notices that Haruko isn't in the top bunk. He walks down the hall and peaks into the room. Although you don't see anything, you can guess what they're up to. "I'm gonna stick it in you! Why won't it stand up?" Yep kids, they're having sex. Or at least verbalizing it. I don't know...
At that very instant, Naota's head does that thing again. But instead of sprouting out a big horn, his head starts to glow. His head is actually a sensor signal for the satelite now.
The next morning, another game is played by the Mabase Martian. Its star player is now
Kanti. Mamimi and Naota are under the bridge again and Haruko drives by. She insists that they attend since it's Kanti's first game. Mamimi is
excited and scrabbles to get up and leaves Naota. Her panties fly off when she does this.
I think I'm the only one that notices that. :P
Naota goes back home where he sees the Robot-Kamon in another room closed off by a curtain. Robot-Kamon apologizes for being so restless and that they're in a sort of relationship now. Naota absorbs all of this and starts remembering all the past times with Haruko ("I met you first, Takkun..."). He then somewhat fantasizes her death I guess by the big cat that lives with them. The big cat is like the size of a building and its throwing Haruko around as if she's a ragdoll (just some jealousy vengence in his mind I suppose).
The Robot-Kamon keeps on talking about how he's all fixed up by Haruko and Naota gets super pissed and tells him to shut up and he hits the TV with his bat. In doing so, he apparently knocked out the cord that powers it and it combusts.
It goes back to the game with Haruko and Kanti. Even though Kanti is a robot, Haruko still manages to knock him out with one of her crazy pitches.
Amarao shows up and interrogates Naota. He offers him coffee with lots of sugar and asks him why he hit the TV. Naota claims it was an accident. Amarao tells Naota a little bit about Haruko. He says that she is looking for Atomsk. Haruko doesn't care about anything except herself and Atomsk. He then talks about the satelite that's coming towards Mabase. All will be destroyed unless Haruko hits another one out of the park for a hometown fan. But he knows she doesn't care and probably won't do it.
Meanwhile, up above in a helium balloon thing, Kitsurubami is annoucing to the people of Mabase to
evacuate the city because it is in the state of an emergency... That satelite is coming down!
Haha, during this time yet again, Mamimi and Kanti are on top of a tower or some sort. Mamimi is chanting some stuff for fun and is having a good time. Cute.
Naota goes back to body of the Robot-Kamon where it got busted up. He looks in the closet and sees the dried up body of his real dad (he's apparently "dead") with roaches all over it. It gets caught on Naota, and he runs over to the bathroom frantically. He throws it in the tub and turns on the faucet. As the body is submerged, Kamon is back to life! Kamon explains that Haruko tried to use his N.O. powers but it didn't work so he "died." After Kamon's revitalization, Haruko plows through on her Vespa into the house. Naota and Kamon asks for an explanation. She just says that she's "an illusion of Takkun's youth, the memories from an adolescent heart" in this super cutsey form.
Anyway, Naota informs her that a satelite is coming towards Mabase. She says that
it's gonna be an expensive double header... She ain't going to do it. His head begins to glow and they go to M.M. factory.
Haruko and Naota speeds off towards Medical Mechanica. On top, Haruko pulls out a guitar from Naota's head and gives it to him. She speeds off pretty much leaving Naota to hit the satelite back into orbit.
(Just a funny note, back in the command center in outerspace with Amarao... All of the assistants including Kitsurubami all have bloody noses. Apparently, this is some sexual thing in Japanese... :P)
Naota calls out to his brother and hits the satelite pretty much stopping it in its track.
You can notice that Atomsk's symbol is seen on both Kanti's screen and Naota's forehead,
but the two didn't merge and no one turned red. It's just
about to explode right in front of him when Haruko pops back up there and gives it a final
swing. She hit it and I believe the
explosion part is actually swung out back into space, but the damage (roads
destroyed, trees unrooted, etc) still had its effect.
around the M.M. factory.
That's it! El Fin. Sorry for the sucky quality.
